Lyons Township High School Theatre Board to present improv show

The Lyons Township High School Theatre Board announced its upcoming improv presentation, which is called: “So ___ You’ll ___ 6: Who ___-ed?” (Improv using an adjective, verb and verb).

Directed by faculty member Mike Kuehl, Improv Comedy features an evening of high-stakes, competitive improvisational comedy. Two teams will battle it out for the audience’s laughs, chuckles, chortles and groans by participating in various improv games.

The show is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 18, and at both 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sept. 19, then again at 7 p.m. Sept. 20, in the South Campus Performing Arts Center, 4900 S. Willow Springs Road, Western Springs. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and senior citizens, and free for Lyons Township High School students with ID. Tickets may be purchased in the box office before the show. The theater opens 30 minutes before the show starts. The show starts promptly and latecomers will be seated between segments.

The first half of the show is competitive, and the second portion is devoted to “long form” improvisation in which a small group will create a short improvised play based on a single audience suggestion.

The cast list includes Kip Andreoni, Amanda Bolton, Riley Carroll, Sam Concklin, Kayla Devereux, Dan Devine, Gillian Dunlop, Emma Greifenkamp, Bryce Hughes, John Klafta, Juan Ortega, Tim Parzyck, Kelly Riordan, Olivia Tennison, Maddy Turner, Nick Valdivia and Katie Westrick.
