Timothy J. Malloy of Burr Ridge, a founding partner in McAndrews, Held & Malloy Attorneys, was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2013.
Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 36,000 leading attorneys cast almost 4.4 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas, and lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed. In fact, Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
Nationally recognized for his intellectual property litigation successes, Timothy J. Malloy has been involved in numerous multimillion dollar verdicts, awards and settlements and has served as lead counsel in many trials throughout the country. His professional highlights include arguing before the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of Eli Lilly and Company the leading case directed to the scope of patent protection for medical devices.
Earlier this year, Malloy was featured in the inaugural “IAM 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners.” He was also listed by Chambers USA as one of the top IP trial lawyers in Illinois and characterized as an Outstanding Trial Lawyer, and has been designated a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Malloy was listed for the first time in Best Lawyers in 1999.
