Dr. Bridget Boyd brings her expertise in pediatric medicine to Loyola University Health System.

She has been named the medical director of Loyola’s newborn nursery as well as Loyola’s pediatric mobile health unit that brings medical care to children in low-income areas. She also is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.

“Loyola physicians and staff have a wonderful sense of compassion, warmth and commitment to excellence and dedication in caring for all their patients. I too am dedicated to bringing resources to patients from all walks of life,” said Boyd. “I have always been drawn to caring for children, but with the recent trends impacting children’s health I feel all the more dedicated to providing families with the tools they need to help their child have a happy and healthy childhood.”

Board-certified in pediatrics, Boyd is a general pediatrician with medical interests that include asthma, breastfeeding, eczema, newborn exam, obesity and pediatric nutrition.

“Being in the newborn nursery I get to see the amazing blessing of a new life entering the world. What a joy to share with parents and other caregivers the responsibility of nurturing a child through such a vulnerable and happy time,” said Boyd.

She earned her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics at the Ronald McDonald Children’s Hospital at Loyola University Medical Center. She served as chief resident at Loyola for a year before joining the faculty. She is on the pediatric quality steering committee, helping to ensure Loyola pediatric patients receive the safest and best care.

Boyd sees patients at Loyola’s main campus in Maywood. For more information or to make an appointment, call (888) LUHS-888 or online at loyolamedicine.org.
