Roy L. Smith Jr., 21, of 21 Spinning Wheel Road, No. 18P, Hinsdale, was charged at 12:32 a.m. Aug. 31 with fleeing and eluding police, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or higher, driving below the speed limit, improper lane use, failure to signal, disregarding a traffic light, driving with unsafe tires and driving without insurance after he was seen driving on the shoulder of Interstate 55 near County Line Road with a blown tire.
A 21-year-old Romeoville man was charged with domestic battery after an incident in the 7200 block of Giddings Avenue at 3:13 p.m. Aug. 31.
