In July, DuPage County Sheriff John E. Zaruba's office announced a new initiative to track down local fugitives called "Manhunt Mondays" in which it would select one person every week to feature in hopes that someone with information about the criminal's whereabouts comes forward.
In a statement on their website, the sheriff's office said: "On 'Manhunt Monday' the Sheriff’s Office will highlight one criminal who is being sought after for having outstanding warrants ... Please remember these suspects are wanted for criminal charges and need to be apprehended by law enforcement.”
This week's Manhunt Monday pick is wanted out of Addison, Ill for the predatory sexual assault of a child: Epifanio Rivera.
According to the sheriff's office:
"The 55 year old is wanted for failure to appear for sentencing on his 2007 case of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child.
Epifanio Rivera (dob/7/11/58) is 5’4” tall, 145 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. His last known address was in the 200 block of East Oak St, Addison, IL.
If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Rivera, please contact the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office at 630.407.2400."
