INDIAN HEAD PARK – The murder case against John L. Wilson continues to plod along.
Wilson is accused of killing 14-year-old Kelli O’Laughlin in her Indian Head Park home two years ago.
Prosecutors were expected Tuesday to turn over all the records related to the case to the defense attorneys who were reassigned to represent Wilson last month.
Defense attorney Michelle Gonzalez did not have room in her car for all the deposition materials, which are “voluminous,” said prosecutor Guy Lisuzzo. They include more than 10,000 pages of documents and 180 compact discs and DVDs.
Circuit Court Associate Judge John J. Hynes authorized prosecutors to turn over the material to Gonzalez on Wednesday.
The defense then would have the information to review over the holidays, Hynes said.
“This case has been pending for awhile, we want you to get up to speed on it,” Hynes said.
He set Jan. 10 as the next court date.
