1. Music Under The Stars features Vinyl Highway playing classic rock from 7:30-9 p.m. July 25 at Memorial Park Amphitheater, Woodlawn Avenue and La Grange Road, LaGrange Park.
2. “Taste of the Arts,” a benefit for the Theatre of Western Springs and the Children’s Theatre of Western Springs, 6:30-11 p.m. July 21 at Theatre of Western Springs, 4384 Hampton, featuring cuisine from area restaurants, along with wine, beers and beverages, live entertainment, silent and live auctions and a raffle. $50 in advance; $60 at the door. 3. “Hot Jazz-6 Cool Nites” concert series, 7:30 p.m. July 21-27 at North Central College’s Meiley-Swallow Hall, 31 S. Ellsworth, Naperville. Each evening of the series will feature a different combination of artists and musical selections. Featured vocalists are Janice Borla, Jay Clayton and Suzanne Pittson, and instrumentalists include trumpeter Art Davis, pianist Dan Haerle, bassist Bob Bowman and drummer Jack Mouse. Tickets to the concerts Saturday through Thursday are $20, $15 for students and seniors. Tickets for the Friday performance are $10; $5 for students and seniors. 4. Opera Night, a performance on the patio with Diva Montell and George Holmes, July 26 at Carlucci Restaurant, 1801 Butterfield Road, Downers Grove. Open community seating begins at 7 p.m., performance is at 8 p.m. $45 per person includes the show and dinner buffet. Tax, gratuity and alcohol are additional.
