A real treat is planned for two lucky kids at the Park District of La Grange’s Halloween Party. There will be a raffle for a girl’s bicycle and a boy’s bicycle, donated by the La Grange Fire Department, during the party, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26 at the Recreation Center, 536 East Ave., La Grange.

That’s only part of the fun at this free event for kids ages 12 and younger, accompanied by a parent. “We have a huge variety of activities,” Superintendent of Recreation Laura Gallagher said. “We’re going to have 15 carnival games where kids get to win prizes and candy. We also will have a craft area, a tattoo station, a balloon artist and a magician walking around.”

For a few thrills, families can visit a haunted room. Kids — and parents — are invited to wear costumes.

The bikes will be raffled off at 8 p.m. “That’s a nice ending to the event,” Gallagher said.
