Auditions will consist of cold readings of the script. Characters in this adaptation will be speaking in the standard British dialect or with a Yorkshire dialect. Feb. 9, 1-3 p.m.: Basic Bead Stringing. Pat Koko of the West Suburban Lapidary Club will teach how to design a piece of jewelry using the basics of bead stringing. Participants take home a bracelet or necklace of their own creation. Open to ages 15 years through adult. $30. Reservations required. March 2, 2 p.m.: “Dinosaur Discoveries,” an interactive lecture open to ages 4 years through adult. $4. March 9, 2 p.m.: “Echoes of Earth,” a multimedia presentation about L. Sue Baugh and Lynn Martinelli’s journey to document some of the world’s oldest rock and mineral sites. Book signing and rock samples on display after the lecture. Free with regular museum admission. March 23, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.: Mazon Creek fossil-collecting field trip, open to ages 8 years through adult. $30. Reservations required.
