Updated: February 28, 2013 11:08AM
Take an imaginative journey through the life of Galileo with the Children’s Theatre of Western Springs. Three young actors play the astronomer in the various stages of his life in Karl Margolis’ “Starry Messenger,” 7:30 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturdays, and 2:30 p.m. Sundays, March 1-10 at 4384 Hampton Ave.
The show is both entertaining and educational.
“We see (Galileo) go from being a curious child to an adult who is taking that curiosity to discover something that changes the way everybody views our place in the universe,” Director Leslie Price said.
Price described the play as “expressionistic” and this production as “very visually interesting. We’ve tried to make the theater feel like a planetarium. I think it will be an exciting show for many ages.”
Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for ages 18 and younger.
