Family Friendly: Egg-cellent activities planned for families

There will be food, fun, a friendly furry critter and a touch of magic at the Clarendon Hills Woman’s Club’s 30th annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. You don’t need reservations. Just drop in at the Clarendon Hills Park District Community Center, 315 Chicago Ave., 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23.

Donuts, milk, juice and coffee will be served. Kids can have their faces painted, get removable tattoos and balloon animals, and visit with the Easter Bunny. At 9:30 a.m., families will be treated to the Magic and Illusions of Paul Lee and Co.

Admission is $5 at the door for this event designed for ages 9 and younger with a parent. It will be followed by Easter Egg Hunts in Prospect Park ­— 11 a.m. for ages 4 and younger, 11:30 a.m. for ages 5-9.

LOOK OUT BELOW

Treat-filled eggs will await kids at the Underwater Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. March 29 at the Family Aquatic Center, 1450 Forest Gate Road, Oak Brook. Kids will be assigned to specific swimming areas by age. Cost is $4 for residents, $6 for nonresidents. Registration deadline is 4:30 p.m. March 28.

MICE ON THE MOVE

A young mouse gets lost after his family relocates from Russia to the United States in “An American Tail.” The animated family film will be shown at 3 p.m. March 29 at La Grange Park Public Library, 555 N. La Grange Road.

MUNCH, THEN HUNT

Food will be followed by foraging at Bagels with the Bunny, 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30 at the Burr Ridge Park District Community Center, 15 W. 400 Harvester Drive. Donuts, fruit juice, milk and coffee will also be served. An Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 10:30 a.m. Cost is $5 for residents, $8 for nonresidents. Registration is required.

ANOTHER SEARCH PARTY

Colorful eggs will be hidden throughout Pinstripes, 7 Oakbrook Center Mall, Oak Brook, starting at 9:30 a.m. March 31. In addition, the Easter Bunny will be there greeting kids and posing for photos. A gourmet brunch buffet will be served.
