Pillars’ giant summer fundraising event is back this year and bigger than ever. The mental health and social service agency has events lined up throughout June: 30 Days, 20 Parties, 1 Cause kicks off June 1 for a monthlong extravaganza of opportunities to have fun while supporting a great cause.

Guests can choose from a variety of activities such as a Mad Men Martini Party, a Mini-House Tour of three local homes, Pilates for Pillars, a Pet Parade Porch Party and a Retro Roller Skating Party.

One of the nearly sold-out events from last year was the concert by Indiana University’s Straight No Chaser, the all-male collegiate a cappella group. The boys will be back at the Reber Center at Lyons Township High School on June 29. This year they will be singing their signature hits under the newly acquired name, Another Round.

More than 800 community members attended Party for Pillars in 2011, enjoying 13 unique events and raising more than $55,000 in support of the life-changing services Pillars provides to those in need.

“We have an even bigger selection of events this year and are looking forward to a June filled with fun,” said Joan Smothers, event chairman.

While ticket prices vary, a premium party ticket to both Another Round and the Mini-House Tour is $75.
