Emily Gilmore of Hinsdale, was inducted into the Alpha Kappa Delta National Honor Society during honors day ceremonies conducted by the Sociology Department at the University of Vermont earlier this spring.

Ahmed M. Hassan, D.P.T., physical therapy, a resident of Burr Ridge, has recently graduated from Utica College in Utica, NY.

Alex Dudzik of Western Springs, son of Douglas and Christine Dudzik made the winter term dean’s list at Augustana College.

Carolyn Fell of Hinsdale was named to Albion College’s dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester. Fell is majoring in anthropology and art history, and is a member of the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program. She is the daughter of Michael C. Fell and Sarah L. Recktenwall of Hinsdale, and a graduate of Hinsdale Twp. High School Central.

Robert Longtin of Hinsdale, named to Albion College’s dean’s list was named a new Albion College fellow at the completion of the spring 2012 semester. The honor of Albion College Fellow goes to students who maintain a 3.7 GPA for three consecutive semesters. Robert Longtin is majoring in English and philosophy, with a concentration in the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service and is a member of the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program. He is the son of Roger and Kathleen Longtin of Hinsdale and a graduate of Hinsdale Central High School.

Chase Miller, son of Curtis and Camille Miller of Hinsdale, participated in the commencement ceremony at Saint John’s University recently. Miller is a candidate to receive a bachelor of arts degree in political science.

Nancy Lundin, of La Grange, majoring in psychology BA; and Jeffrey Boblick, of Western Springs, international studies BA, were named by the University of Wisconsin-Madison recently as 2012 initiates for the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society.

Undergraduate Members of the Alpha of Wisconsin Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa are elected in their junior or senior years upon recommendation of the Membership Committee. Initiates must have an outstanding academic

achievement and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.75 for seniors or 3.9 for juniors. Phi Beta Kappa is the nation’s oldest academic honor society.

Baxter T. Phillip, of Hinsdale earned a bachelor of science degree, mechanical engineering from Baylor University during spring commencement.

Emily A. Lloyd, of LaGrange Park earned a bachelor of arts degree, international studies, from Baylor University during spring commencement.

Gretchen M. Nyberg, of Western Springs earned a bachelor of science in education - middle grades - mathematics, from Baylor University during spring commencement.
