The heat didn’t keep people from coming out for the Hinsdale Fourth of July Parade and the annual Family Festival, or the evening fireworks display in Clarendon Hills.

The parade, with the them Proud to be an American, had about 60 entries.

It was followed by the Arts & Crafts Fair and Family Festival in Burglinton Park, which included the annual turtle races.

In the evening, residents gathered at Prospect Park for the to watch the fireworks show presented across the street at Hinsdale Golf Club.

The traditional Fourth of July gathering followed a Dancin’ in the Street concert in downtown Clarendon Hills.
