Burr Ridge police blotter for Aug. 14

The following incidents were listed among the reports of the Burr Ridge Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. Court dates are in Wheaton, unless specified otherwise.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Michael J. Toth, 57, of 6760 Fieldstone Drive, Burr Ridge, was charged with domestic battery at his home at about 2:50 a.m. Aug. 12.

DRUGS

Candice Kramer, 18, of 407 N. Park Road, LaGrange Park, was charged with a local ordinance violation of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the parking lot at Harvester Park, 15W400 Harvester Drive, at about 9:35 p.m. Aug. 8. Kramer allegedly had an herb grinder with her. William M. O’Donnell, 18, of 4151 Colfax Ave., Clarendon Hills, who was with Kramer, was charged with violating a local ordinance violation of possession of drug paraphernalia. Police allege O’Donnell had a glass pipe commonly used for smoking marijuana.

ALCOHOL

Roy J. Schuetz, 54, of 1417 S. Fairview, Park Ridge, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was stopped allegedly driving in the wrong lane and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle on 63rd and Madison streets at 7:53 p.m. Aug. 12. He also was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol for allegedly having vodka in his vehicle. His court date is Sept. 10.

Derek C. Plate, 25, of 7938 Brookbank Road, Clarendon Hills, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Police allege Plate improperly passed an emergency vehicle on Route 83 and Central Avenue at 1:25 a.m. Aug. 12. His court date is Sept. 17.

Shawn A. Boyd, 30, of 1111 S. Laflin Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was stopped allegedly failing to signal on North County Line Road at Veterans Parkway at 9:22 p.m. Aug. 11. He also was charged with driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and illegal transportation of alcohol. An open bottle of tequila was reportedly found in Boyd’s vehicle. His court date is Sept. 13 in Bridgeview.

THEFT

Someone took about $1,500 worth of power tools from a commercial building under construction on the 16W200 block of South Frontage Road, between 5 p.m. Aug. 9 and 6 a.m. Aug. 10.

A Bay Rum Court resident reported his Discover credit card was missing from his wallet. The last time he used the credit card was Aug. 7, but he learned unauthorized purchases were made with the card on Aug. 9.

A resident reported Aug. 7 that someone stole an unspecified amount of jewelry from her Bay Rum Court home sometime in the previous two weeks.

OBSCENITY

A resident of the 6800 block of Fieldstone Drive reported between 12:20 and 12:35 p.m. Aug. 7, he received six or seven obscene calls from an out-of-state caller whose name was blocked on his caller ID.

TRESPASS

A resident of the 7300 block of Garfield Avenue reported Aug. 10 that a stranger had been swimming in his above-ground pool, without his permission and when he was not home at about 6 p.m. Aug. 6. The resident was trying to fix a problem with the pool, when his neighbor told him he had seen a stranger jumping in the pool.
