LT moves toward new website

LA GRANGE — Lyons Township High School should have a new and improved website starting next month.
Community relations director Jennifer Bialobok updated the High School District 204 Board Monday on progress made to load content and navigation capabilities onto the new site. LT’s administrative team may be able to test drive the site within a week, as further refinements are made to the site designed in part by Schoolwires, based in Pennsylvania.
“The new site comes at a very opportune time, because through the climate survey, parents told us they want information via the web and email,” Bialobok said.
Instead of printing and mailing newsletters to parents four times a year, Bialobok intends to send electronic newsletters semi-monthly to parents and subscribers. An estimated 80,000 households in the district will continue to receive printed reports twice a year, after the first semester and at the end of the school year.
Superintendent Tim Kilrea said the new website is meant to be a work in progress.
“It will continuously build as we launch,” Kilrea said. ~.
