Scary Stories Contest to be held

Pioneer Press is again sponsoring its Scary Story Contest for children in the third, fourth and fifth grades.

Stories should be no longer than 350 words and must include: The child’s name, home address and telephone number; the child’s grade level; and the name and address of the child’s school. Entries without this information will be disqualified.

The child’s address and telephone number will only be used to notify winners and will not be published.

Entries must be original and cannot include characters or plots from movies, television shows or books, or be a dream sequence.

Prizes will be given for the winners in first, second and third place in each grade level. Winners will be printed in the Oct. 25 edition.

Deadline to submit entries is 5 p.m. Oct. 12. Entries should be emailed to bjohnson@pioneerlocal.com, or mailed or dropped off at our office at 920 N. York Road, Suite 200, Hinsdale IL 60521. For information, call (630) 320-5417. ~.
