Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills Elementary District 181 is using an online survey and has scheduled two community engagement sessions to get feedback from residents.

Survey links for parents and residents who don’t have children attending district schools are accessible from the website home page, www.d181.org. The survey questions cover four focus areas: communications, finances, technology and advanced learning. The survey is available until Oct. 17.

Residents of the districts are invited to attend a community engagement session from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at Clarendon Hills Middle School, 301 Chicago Ave.; or from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at Hinsdale Middle School, 100 S. Garfield Ave.

“For the 2012-2013 school year, the board and district are collaborating on several strategic goals, one of which includes an increased focus on community engagement,” said Superintendent Renee Schuster of District 181. “We look forward to listening to our stakeholders and gathering input, specifically on advanced learning and on the district’s values and commitments.”

The District 181 board will discuss the results of the survey and input from the community engagement sessions at a 7 p.m. Oct. 29 committee meeting at Monroe School, 210 N. Madison St. ~.
