HINSDALE — A Hinsdale Central student suspected of being under the influence of drugs was taken to the hospital Friday morning.
Hinsdale police reported the student was conscious when he was transported from the nurse’s office at the high school to Adventist Hinsdale Hospital because the student appeared to be behaving as though he were under the influence of a narcotic.
“It wasn’t alcohol,” said Hinsdale Deputy Police Chief Mark Wodka. “It was a narcotic of an unknown type. The student was not found with any drugs.”
“We assisted with the transport,” Wodka said.
The police may learn from the hospital what kind of drug, if any, was ingested.
No criminal charges have been filed, Wodka said.
