Water main breaks in Burr Ridge

BURR RIDGE ­ — Crews from the Burr Ridge Public Works Department are repairing water main breaks in the 6800 block of County Line Road and the 1100 block of Laurie Lane. The breaks were reported Wednesday morning.

Village Administrator Steve Stricker said no boil orders or road closures have been reported, but water service might be interrupted in those areas.

“We have main breaks this time of year,” Stricker said.

He said breaks are especially common in the Carriage Way subdivision, County Line Road and Carriage Way Drive. The neighborhood is the oldest in the village with the oldest mains.
