Three men were arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with a robbery near 55th Street and Route 83 in unincorporated Clarendon Hills.

Kelechukwu Akuba, 20, 303 E. Daisy Circle, Romeoville, Leverenzel Booth, 18, 7502 Farmingdale Drive, Darien, and Jerron Wilbut, 19, 16W671 Mockingbird Lane, Willowbrook, each face one count of robbery, a Class 2 felony. Each is being held on $100,000 bond following a bond hearing Friday morning, said Paul Darrah, spokesman for the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s office.

The three are accused of arranging to meet with an acquaintance, a male juvenile. The victim entered the car with the three men at about 4 p.m., according to police.

The three allegedly displayed what was believed to be a handgun, robbed the boy of cash and property and released him.

Akuba, Booth and Wilbut were taken into custody a short time later. All three reamained in DuPage County Jail Friday. Their next court appearance is set for April 1 before Judge John Kinsella.~~.
