The celebration Saturday at the Burr Ridge Park District Community Center was about more than hunting for eggs, though that was the focus for children coming out for the tradition.

But park district staff put on a full event for the day, including offering biscuits and "Honey with the Bunny."

The egg hunt in Harvester Park had the children divided into three age groups starting as young as 1, with it becoming more difficult to find the eggs for the older 7-9 age group.

Breakfast was served following the festivities in the Community Center, and included biscuits and honey scones with jam, doughnuts, fruit juice and, of course, a picture with the Easter Bunny.

The annual event was co-sponsored by the Willowbrook/Burr Ridge Kiwanis.
