A Chick-fil-A restaurant will open in Willowbrook and bring more than 70 new jobs. They will celebrate at this opening with a food drive for HCS Family Services, a nonprofit organization focused on preventing homelessness and helping low-income individuals achieve their dreams of sustained economic self-sufficiency and improved quality of life for themselves and their families.
For the opening, the first 100 adults age 18 and older (with identification) when the doors open at 6 a.m. Feb. 13 will win a one-year supply of free meals (52 coupons). The line opens at 6 a.m. Feb. 12 at the restaurant, 7101 Kingery Highway. If there are more than 100 people by 6 a.m., Feb. 12, all 100 spots will be determined by a drawing held that morning with those selected needing to camp out to secure their spot.
The food drive will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 12. With a minimum of five food items donated for the food pantry, donors will receive a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A entrée (one coupon per a guest). First 100 participants camping out also will be engaged in the food drive by encouraging friends and family to donate items in their name with the top collector receiving a prize.
The new restaurant seats 130 with additional outdoor seating and an interactive play area for children. Hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday with a full breakfast menu until 10:30 a.m. The restaurant also features two drive-thru lanes where motorists can place their orders at separate screens and then merge into a single lane to pay for and pick up their food.
