Orthopaedic spine surgeon Bartosz Wojewnik, M.D., has joined Loyola University Medical Center.
Wojewnik’s specialties include back problems, cervical and lumbar disc disorders, minimally invasive surgery, neck pain, neck problems, nerve injuries, spinal disc disease, spine care, spine surgery and sports injuries.
Among the procedures he performs are nerve decompression, spinal fusion, trauma surgery, spinal instability surgery and cervical disc replacements.
Wojewnik also performs minimally invasive spinal fusions in properly selected patients. The minimally invasive technique results in smaller scars and less blood loss and pain.
Wojewnik grew up in Bialystok, Poland, and came to the Chicago area when he was 13. He earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Health and Science. He is an instructor in the department of orthopaedic surgery and tehabilitation at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.
