Park Ridge to hold 9/11 remembrance ceremony

The Park Ridge police and fire departments will hold a service in remembrance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at the South Side Fire Station, 901 W. Devon Ave.

Village of Skokie to hold 9/11 remembrance

On Wednesday, September 11, 2013, the Village of Skokie Fire Department will dedicate a moment of silence with a bell ceremony beginning at 8:58 a.m. at the flagpole of each of its fire stations.

Lincolnwood planning 9/11 memorial

This year’s ceremony begins at 7:30 a.m. Wed. Sept. 11 outside of Lincolnwood Village Hall under the flag display, and will be marked with a ceremonial bell ringing at 7:46 a.m. central time, the moment the first plane hit the first World Trade Center tower on Sept. 11, 2001.

Naperville Carillon to ring bells on September 11

On September 11, Naperville's Millennium Carillon will ring its bells commemorating morning events and preceding an evening ceremony.

La Grange American Legion to hold ceremony to honor victims of Sept. 11

 The La Grange American Legion Post 1941 will hold a commemoration ceremony Wednesday, marking a dozen years since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Winnetka 9/11 Patriot Day Flag Planting Memorial

A Patriot Day flag planting memorial will be constructed on September 10th in the late afternoon and taken down at sunset on September 11th.
