Three unlocked cars burglarized in Burr Ridge

BURR RIDGE — Burr Ridge police remind residents to lock their cars as burglars continue to target unlocked vehicles parked on driveways.
A radio was taken from an unlocked car parked in the 11300 block of 73rd Place sometime before 8:40 a.m. on Aug. 20.
Money was taken from two unlocked cars parked in the 8600 block of Manor Drive sometime before 3:06 p.m. on Aug. 23.
Compact discs, lottery tickets and tools were taken from three cars parked on a driveway in the 7300 block of Giddings between 2 a.m. and noon on Sunday. All three cars were unlocked.
Eight unlocked cars were burglarized while parked on driveways on the east side of Burr Ridge on Aug. 17.
“Don’t leave valuables out in plain view,” Deputy Chief Tim Vaclav said. “That’s easy pickins when they see that.”
