DuPage Community Foundation awards $204,000 in grants

The DuPage Community Foundation awarded $162,007 in grants to 23 DuPage County not-for-profit organizations working in the areas of arts and culture, education, and the environment as part of its Fall Community Needs Grant Distribution cycle.

Local awardees include Salt Creek Ballet, Spirito! Singers, Robert Crown Center for Health Education and The Community House.

An additional seven grants totaling $42,000 were also awarded from restricted funds to organizations which had sought funding through the Community Needs grant process. The grants, which ranged in value from $2,000-$20,000, totaled $204,007.

“DuPage is home to many not-for-profit organizations that are doing wonderful work to make our community a better place in which to live,” said Foundation Director of Programs Barb Szczepaniak. “We’re proud to support the efforts of these organizations and wish them well as they expand their efforts in DuPage County.”
