Lyons Township clerk announces election dates

Lyons Township Clerk Mary Jo Noonan offers the following dates related to the March 18 primary election. Residents may contact her office with questions at 708-482-8300, Ext. 211.

Feb. 18 will be the last day for voter registration. Required to be presented are two forms of identification: a driver’s license with current address, checkbook, utility bill, etc. and signature.

Feb. 19 will be the first day of the grace period/early voting with March 15 being the last day of the grace period/early voting. This can be done at the office of Cook County Clerk David Orr, downtown, 69 W. Washington, 5th floor, or at the Maybrook, Bridgeview Courthouse Mini-Centers.

The dates March 16 and March 17 are the in-person absentee voting days at David Orr’s downtown office and Court House Mini-Centers.

Early voting for residents of the Lyons Township will be takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday on beginning March 3 and the last day is March 15, at the Noel B. Cummings Administration, 8990 Lyons St., Hodgkins. Voters must show a valid photo identification, such as a current driver’s license, state-issued ID card, passport or another government-issued ID with photograph.
