Storm-damaged Metra cars set to return this week

Metra is hoping to relieve packed trains by fixing cars that had been damaged by winter storms and putting them back into service. According to the Chicago Sun-Times:

"Some Metra trains are still feeling the effects of last week’s deep freeze and will be running with fewer cars to allow servicing in the next few days, the head of Metra said Tuesday.

The process of fixing winter-damaged train cars should be completed in the next few days or by Friday at the latest, interim Metra CEO Don Orseno told reporters."
