Pianists and rock bands, dancers and DJs entertained the crowd at Gower Middle School’s annual pre-holiday talent showcase Dec. 20.

Known as Gowerpalooza, the show included performances by 29 acts, including a ukelele player.

Organizer Emily Ziebka, a teacher at the Burr Ridge school, said the show has become so popular, some acts had to be turned away.

Gowerpalooza offers students a way to discover one another’s talents and even to share their cultures, Ziebka said. It also is a fun way to start winter break.
