Lyons Township High School earns sportsmanship banner

LA GRANGE — Lyons Township High School’s girls’ varsity volleyball team was recently awarded Zebras of Northern Illinois Sportsmanship banner for the second straight year. The banner is given to the school whose players, coaches and fans exhibit the best sportsmanship throughout a season. Members rate their top schools, and the team with the overall highest score is awarded a banner. ZONI is a high school volleyball officials organization in the Chicago area.

LT’s varsity team also won Sportsmanship Banners in 2011, 2009 and 2006. LT has consistently received high sportsmanship marks, earning a banner or certificate nearly every year since the Sportsmanship Program started in 1997.
