Twenty students at Nazareth Academy have earned Advanced Placement Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP Exams.
From the Class of 2013:
Lauren Janek (Darien), Thomas Jareczek (Willow Springs), Kelly McGarry (Chicago), Ethan O’Hare (Westchester) and Harshita Reddy (Woodridge) were named AP Scholars with Distinction by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
Mary Figura (Clarendon Hills), Alison Maslar-Donar (Darien) and Nicholas Murphy (La Grange Park) were named AP Scholars with Honor by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
Katherine Bialas (Chicago), Faye Domokos (Westchester), Justyna Falat (Westmont), John Karas (Western Springs), Bridget Kowalczyk (Chicago), Jacqueline Nowicki (Westchester), Brian Prendergast (La Grange Park), Cara Rafanelli (Class of 2014, Indian Head Park), Michael Stromberg (Darien), Sarah Swade (Western Springs), Taylor Van Daff (Westchester), and Hao XI (La Grange) were named AP Scholars by completing three or more AP Exams with grades of 3 or higher.
Of this year’s award recipients at Nazareth Academy, senior Cara Rafanelli has one more year in which to complete college level work and possibly earn a higher level AP Scholar Award.
