The auction will kick off with a Champagne Preview Reception from 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 26 at Boulevard Fine Art, 217 Burlington Ave., Clarendon Hills. Proceeds from the auction will be used to support fine and performing arts, music and creative writing in Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills Elementary District 181.
Everything displayed in the studio at the Preview Reception is part of the auction; attendees can go online during the event to place bids. Bidding will continue until 6 p.m., Oct. 4.
The art will be on display at Boulevard Fine Art throughout the entire bidding period. Michele Kapp, District 181 Foundation Board member and event chairman said Boulevard Fine Art owner David Manola will consign more than 200 pieces of art for this event, with retail values from $100 to $15,000. The styles are varied and will appeal to a wide range of tastes. This auction is open to the entire community.
