The Headless Man
It was a dark and stormy night in rural fields of Ohio. There was a boy named Neco. One day at school he asked his friend to have a sleepover. His friend said he could. So that night they slept outside in a big tent in a big cornfield.
The heard a loud sound, looked outside and saw a horse. Then they heard a loud roar. They stayed in the tent when they saw a body without a head riding a horse.
It said “I’m the Headless Horseman, don’t come into my field”
Neco and his friend stayed in the tent and covered their eyes for the rest of the night. The night felt like it lasted for two years.
Just when they thought it was morning it started to pour down rain and thunder from the sky.
They felt super scared and started to shiver.
Then the sun finally started to come out and just when they thought they could walk back to the house where Neco’s parents were, the HEADLESS HORSEMAN came back…………

The Vanishing Ghost
Once in the southern end of Mexico, there lived one ghost in a school. He only came out at night, after all the students left. One day, the ghost watched somebody pranking another kid at school and decided it would be fun to prank the students. So he went to the classroom that behaved the best, Mrs. Sackley’s class. He thought very long and hard about how he would prank the students. Then, he came up with an idea. It was to make things disappear each day. After that, he made 100 pencils vanish. The teacher was a little freaked out about the pencils that vanished. Then the ghost made all the Social Studies books vanish. When the teacher found out, she searched the school. When the day was over, the ghost came out again and thought it would be fun to make a desk vanish so he made Anna the best-behaved girl’s desk vanish. The next day Anna was freaking out because she could not find her desk. She told her teacher and her teacher stayed late that night. The ghost came out and got caught by Mrs. Sackley. The ghost was scared so he ran away and never came back again.

Tony got in the school. The mummy trapped Tony and he ran away. The mummy yelled to stop, and he did. He told Tony that he was trying to help him with his homework. He helped Tony finish it. The mummy told Tony that he himself could not go home
Then the ghosts came. The ghosts asked, “What is wrong?” The mummy said he couldn’t get home.
The ghosts told Tony and the mummy that they could fly them home. They then flew Tony and the mummy there. Now you know you can’t forget your homework!

The Haunted Cave
Once upon a time, there was a cave and an old troll lived in it. Ever since, there has been a lot of weird noises and sounds. One of the sounds was groaning and also a lot of yelling. He was over 100 years old.
One day, there was a big huge pumpkin that came out of the cave and everyone screamed, but then the pumpkin said “Hi everyone. I’m Jack the Jack ‘o Lantern. I am very nice.” Then everyone stopped screaming and the pumpkin lived with them.
Five days later, there was a big huge ghost that came out of the cave. Everyone was terrified! Then the ghost said “Hi everyone. I’m Boo the ghost and I am very nice. Then the people said “why don’t you come live with us.”
Ten days later, there was a witch that came out of the cave and everyone was so scared! Then the witch said “Hi, I’m Sandy the witch. I am very nice.” Then everyone said “Why don’t you come live with us.”
15 days later, there was a tremendous Roarrrrrrrrrrr and the then the troll came stomping out of the cave and the people were so so terrified and so so scared both at the same time. Then the troll yelled “get out of my territory! I don’t want to see you ever again. You are abandoned from your village forever!”
5 years later, the people from their village went back to their village and would you just look at the place! The troll abandoned us because he wanted to clean up our village for us. Then the troll came out of the cave and the people all said “Thank you!” Then all the people and the troll, also the ghost, the pumpkin and the witch had a party celebrating the troll!

Tony went to bed at midnight, then heard a strange noise. He went downstairs to see what it was. He turned the light on and saw a ghost but it immediately disappeared. When Tony went back to bed, the ghost was running toward Tony, but Tony dodged him and ran. The ghost said, “You better run or you will disappear.” Tony ran to his phone but the ghost lassoed it and the phone broke. Tony ran outside to find a city phone. He was close to the phone but the ghost was running really fast. Then Tony saw a police station. He ran to the police station. The police saw the ghost chasing him and they caught the ghost and put the ghost in jail. Somehow, the ghost got out without setting off the alarm. The ghost went back to Tony’s house. The Apple Farm
It was a normal day, I think. Maddie was in her room and she was getting ready to go to the apple farm. About one hour later, she arrived at the farm. The apple orchard looked old and scary. The apple trees had rotten apples. The gift shop was old and everything was broken. Her dad said let’s go pick some apples. They let Maddie go by herself and told her she needed to meet back at the gift shop by 4:00 pm. It was around 3:55 pm when Maddie started walking back to the shop. Something was following her. She looked and it was a moving scarecrow named Moe. He told her “come with me forever, ha ha”. Maddie was scared and ran fast to the shop. When she arrived things were different and her parents weren’t there. But, right behind her again was Moe. She screamed, “Where are my parents?” Moe said “I took them away forever.” Maddie started running away as fast as she could. The scarecrow kept chasing her. She thought she would never see her parents again. Moe kept chasing her yelling “you can’t get away from me”! As Maddie was running she tripped and fell over a tree root. Moe kept running and finally caught up to Maddie. Moe said “Now I am going to take you away forever”! Just as Moe was about to grab Maddie, she tripped him and ran away. She ran as fast as she could to her Grandma’s house which was a few blocks away from the apple farm. A couple hours later, the doorbell rang and it was her parents. They were confused about what happened at the apple farm because Moe had erased their memory. Maddie was so excited to see them. The next morning her parents asked her if she wanted to go to the pumpkin farm that day. She screamed “NO”.

The Halloween Trick
Hannah walked along the sidewalk with her dog Muffin on a dark and scary Halloween night. Reddish clouds were silently floating above them. The wind went through Hannah’s blonde braids, blowing them up. Then she was pulled by her dress, down to the ground. A flashlight shone in her eyes. It was her brother, Will. His orange brown hair gleamed in the moonlight. He grinned. “Race you to the house.” He ran away rapidly. Hannah got up slowly and then raced behind Will in his flapping sweatshirt.
Once home, she went into the kitchen. Their mom was making chocolate cupcakes for their Halloween party. Will licked some of the orange frosting and ran upstairs to get into his Halloween costume. Hannah helped her mom make and frost the last batch of cupcakes and went upstairs to change into her party dress. Cleopatra, their maid, made Hannah’s bed. Hannah changed quickly and raced downstairs, just in time to see Will greeting Hannah’s best friend Allison and Allison’s little sister Madison. After the girls got settled, Will’s buddy Justin and other party guests arrived.
Cleopatra directed the guests to Hannah’s patio for dinner and excused herself from the party. Justin and Will left with a cupcake and ditched the crowd. Hannah and Allison sat and talked while they ate dinner. Only five minutes later a howl came from out of the darkness. Everyone jumped up and searched the midnightsky for the horrible creature. The second time they heard the noise, it sounded closer. After it sounded a third time, Hannah jumped up and grabbed Allison’s arm. “Wait. Justin and Will are missing!” “And where’s Cleopatra?” asked Allison.
A minute later a black scary creature hovered over the house. Madison screamed! It was coming toward her. As it got closer, the girls noticed the two-headed monster looked awfully familiar. It wasn’t a monster at all! Justin and Will had rigged a zip line from the balcony to the patio. They were flying down in their black monster costumes. The party guests all felt a sigh of relief. It was Halloween after all.

Once there was a boy named Bobby O’Reilly. He was nine years old. He was born in rural New England on Oct 31,1949. Bobby was an orphan. Nobody ever talked to him. It was like he was never there.
Bobby’s hiding place was an old abandoned tree house. It was a very sneaky thing to sneak out of the orphanage. One night he heard screaming and screeching and then he saw the glowing figures. They were ghosts! They were all glowing and wearing old worn clothes. They told Bobby to come to them. He went closer and closer. They took him to the darkest end of the forest, which was not even the forest anymore. It was the hideout of the ghosts! It was like he was almost in a different dimension. So he stayed there in the foggy gray clouds and lied down with steam flowing around him. He felt so different now that he was in the ghost land. But he felt somewhat the same! He soon fell asleep. All the ghosts surrounded him and scanned him in a weird way. But he didn’t wake up.
The next day Bobby felt sick but asked the ghosts to come to his tree house. “No” they said. “We can’t be seen!” “Why?” questioned Bobby. But he didn’t get an answer. Then all of a sudden part of him began to glow. Then the next part and then the next part! It was hard for him to believe when he looked at himself. Soon he woke up from sleeping and he was a normal boy again. “What?” he thought. He was still glowing and then he fainted. Bobby O’Reilly was never seen again because what he never really knew was that he was always a ghost!!

It all started when my mom forgot to pick us up from soccer practice, so we walked home. We had a sleepover. The next day my mom said sorry then she took us to the mall. When we got back we changed into our costumes. At 7:00 pm we went trick or treating. We stopped at the weird man’s house and we thought, “Wow, he decorated well!!” It was decorated with cobwebs and other weird things. So we rang the really weird doorbell, no one answered. Savannah and I were scared. We rang the doorbell again and we thought someone answered the door, but we didn’t see anyone there. We didn’t know what to do. I said let’s go to the next house but Savannah said no! Savannah said lets go in the house. I couldn’t believe what she was saying. So we entered the weird house. As we walked around, I had goose bumps. Savannah said to go upstairs. I said you can but I’m going to stay down here. So I stayed where I was. Then Savannah screamed my name! I jumped up and wondered what happened! She told me to come upstairs, so I slowly walked up the creaky stairs. I finally came up to the top. All the walls were torn and the paint was chipped. We saw a note on the wall. I slowly read it and it said, “You have entered the Haunted House of BlackBerry Lane!” I said, “We’re getting out of here!” We ran back home. We looked at each other, our hearts were racing! As we walked in my house, I overheard my mom say that house was abandoned a year ago. There was a long pause as Savannah and I stared at each other in fright……there is something definitely living in that house on Blackberry Lane.

The Haunted Grave
A long time ago there lived a small dirty man. He got dirty by falling into a grave one night. The man did not know what to do but he was tired very tired. In fact he was so tired he decided to lie down in the grave and soon he fell fast asleep. He was jolted into a wide awake state. Something was tugging at his cloths. He felt bony fingers reaching out from the depths of the grave, slowly pulling him down. He was pulled into a huge cavern surrounded by very nice people. There was a lady dancing to some music two men sitting while drinking coffee and some people playing ping pong. They stared at him and wondered why is that man so dirty? Then the nice lady said, “you need a shower, you’re so dirty!” After he took the shower he got worried about his family and how there doing and what they thought happened to him. When he was done the people asked him if he wanted to play ping pong he never played ping pong before so he stunk. But the nice lady said, “nice game” anyways because she won the game. After the game the man needed to go to the bathroom so he asked the lady were the restroom was she said it was outside. He thought it was strange that the bathroom was outside but he went with it anyway. He realized the bathroom was a big yellow box that said port to potty on the side. He had never seen a port to potty before. He went ahead and opened the door and THERE WAS ALREADY SOMEONE IN IT. To his surprise the man in the port o potty was the same person that pulled him down into the cavern from the grave. The person was so embarrassed he pushed the man back to where he started. While he was going up he forgot what happened. Then he found himself in the grave and started walking home and he never slept in a grave again.

The Clarendon Hills Ghost
Before you read this, make sure you’re ready for a scare, because you never know there could be something haunting you. It starts out when you’re snug in bed, you think you’re safe but you’re not! There could be a ghost from thousands of years ago in your house, but the Clarendon Hills ghost is the worst kind of all.
It started out on a cold night. Two companions were driving to a haunted campsite, the Shadow Camp in Indiana. It is so haunted, phantoms and spirits mysteriously tap you on the shoulder, but when you turn around there is nothing found.
The spookiest place in the camp is The Ghost Cabin. The two took a dare and went into the dark forest trail to search for the cabin. After a long hike and sun setting they saw the shadow of the Ghost Cabin. They approached the cabin and thought nothing wrong, but they really should have thought again. After 5 minutes, strange things began to happen which are too scary to write. I can tell some things that happened, but beware; you don’t want any strange things happening.
They heard strange noises and soon footsteps following them. They saw a ghost known as the ghost of darkness. Soon after many ghosts came after them, and more strange things started to happen. So scary I can’t tell. They got so scared they ran through the forest and the ghosts disappeared except one who kept following. They didn’t know ghosts followed, but when they got back to the camp the ghost mysteriously got in their car without anyone knowing.
The next day at dawn they set back for Illinois and nothing seemed wrong. They got home they realized they took the ghost that was chasing them back and ever since the ghost has roamed the streets of Clarendon Hills. And that’s how Clarendon Hills was known to be haunted.
Look around the ghost could be in the room talking to you right now. So beware on Halloween when your trick-or treating to make sure the ghost does not get you.

It was Halloween night and all the kids were outside Trick-or-Treating. I went outside to go Trick-or-Treating. I was at a house when an airplane flew right by me. Than it slowly came down right by the house next to me. The plane had a sign on it it said “Ccome to Halloween City Only Witches Allowed.” I thought for a second that I said “I might as well go in.” I was the only one on the airplane. 30 seconds later there was a big Statue of a big witch, it was very cool. “Hello little girl are you a witch? If you are than are you Paula Martin’s child?” said the Mayor of Halloween City. “Hi, I am not sure if I’m a witch but my mom is Paula Martin.” I said. “What’s your name?” asked the Mayor “My name is Elle.” I said. “do you nee a ride somewhere? Because here is a cab.” said the Mayor. “Thank you,” I said. I stepped into the cab and he drove me all around the city. “Here is your brother’s house.” said the cab driver. “Okay than thank you.” I said. I got off the cab and went inside the house. “Hello who is this?” a boy asked. “Hi this i your sister” I explained. “I don’t have a sister! Get out!” said the boy. “Alright than good bye.” as I ran out the door. But there were no more airplane’s running this year. “I’m going to be stuck here forever or I am going to die.” I said. A whole year went by and Elle’s mom was waiting for her when she got home. Because she did not know where she was. One year later on Halloween night a friendly witch in Halloween City gave her a ride home on her magic broom stick. That is how she got home. Elle never went outside and never went Trick-or-Treating again.

On some of the trees there were spider webs, and there were pumpkins everywhere! Molly walked up the steps to her porch. When she got to the top she saw her mom waiting at the door with a giant grin on her face.
“Hi Mom!” said Molly almost out of breath.

The Ghost’s Escape
Once up on a time there was a friendly ghost named Chris. He would pick flowers for people who wanted flowers. He would do anything for anyone who wanted something, until a witch named Cranky came along and cast a mean magic spell on Chris. The Chris stopped being friendly and started to be mean and no one knew why. Then Chris learned that when he jumped in a garbage dump, the spell would be broken. So he jumped in the dump! He started to be nice again and stayed nice for some time. The people in the little town treated the ghost as their best friend. Everyone was his friend except for Cranky. The witch came out of nowhere and put a magic spell that turned Chris into a witch and the people saw this and ran as fast as they could. Everyone told the news to other towns. That night Chris snuck around the town and took people’s Halloween candy and the next morning the little kids started to cry because they did not have candy. A few nights after that Chris took all a family’s money. The family had no money. A few days later the people were being nice to Chris. The people were happy but they had one question, “How did we lose our money?” Chris made Cranky disappear with a magic spell and turned himself back into a ghost. A few days later more people came back and had a happy Halloween. Chris went around the town and went trick or treating. Chris and the kids lived happily ever after.

Skeletons Scare Scouts
Ten girl scouts went on a campout. All went into the camp store, but when they left there were only eight girls. The two who were missing were trapped in the basement. They were surrounded by skeletons! They banged on the door at the top of the stairs. When the door opened, it was opened by an skeleton in a Native American headdress. They screamed, and ran back down the stairs, but all around them the skeletons rose. All of the skeletons said “Come here, we have candy for you” in fake sweet tones.
Abigail, one of the girls outside the store, was the first to notice the two girls missing. Abigail said, “Katherine and Julia are missing!” They all rushed back to the camp store, but when they got to the door it was locked. Then a cage dropped over them, but the whole group was too big to fit in it. Three girls were left outside of the cage. One of the girls, Nancy, said “There’s probably another door, let’s try to get in.” There was an open back door. They rushed inside. When they came in, they saw a pile of bows and arrows. Each girl picked up one bow and five arrows. They ran to the basement and shot every skeleton, shattering the skeletons bones. They ran out of arrows, but three skeletons remained. But it was five against three. Nancy and Ella were weak from shooting arrows. They both sat down, breathing heavily. Each of the other girls fought off one of the skeletons. Julia picked up three arrows, but not a bow. She aimed an arrow at a skeleton, and hit it’s back. Katherine picked up a skeletons head and threw it up at a broken chandelier. The skull exploded into tiny pieces, making one skeleton collapse. Emily was fighting the last skeleton, but she didn’t have anything to help her. She saw a can of gasoline, threw it at one skeleton, and like magic the skeleton disappeared. Then the girls picked the lock and the cage opened. All ten girls ran to safety.

The Monsters on Peck Street
It was an ugly day on Peck Street. There were loud thunderstorms and vicious lightening. A bad strike of lightening hit the ugly, gross graveyard and all the people that were buried underground rose from their graves. They walked like zombies and haunted the people on Peck Street. The zombies had tools to break into all the people’s houses. The invisible zombies destroyed all the glass and valuables in the Peck homes. All the Peck Street trees were suddenly lifted from their roots and were thrown to the ground. The Peck Street neighbors ran for their safety and one neighbor was able to call 911. The police arrived just after the zombies crept back into their graves. The people of Peck Street still to this day have no clue what happened on this very scary day.

Going in a Cave?
It begins on the darkest and stormiest night, when a man named Gus tiptoed into the darkest cave. Something black jumped behind him and another black thing jumped on his ear. Gus never knew what they were until the one that jumped on his ear fell off.
Something white and sticky attached Gus’s ear to the ground of the cave. He cut it and ran back to the entrance. But the biggest cobweb blocked the entrance ever. Gus looked up. The black thing had grown. In fact, it was a spider king!
Gus ran to the center of the cave, but he slipped on the way there. The spider king shot a white, sticky web, pulled Gus back, and swallowed him whole.
Never go in a cave for any reason, except if you have the right gear and you’re mining. Don’t get close to black widows either.

Once there was a pretty princess. She was brave and cared nothing but beauty. She asked her father if she could go for a hike in the woods. He loved her so dearly that he said yes. The princess went for a hike in the Evergreen Forest. She was walking and found a beautiful flower. She pulled it out of the ground fiercely. She put it in her hair and went home.
Then it was time for Halloween. She got in her costume and was ready for the parade. She thought she heard a ghost say, “Flower,”
But she thought it was silly so she moved on. She heard it again. She was a little freaked out. Then a monster showed up, and she screamed. The king went upstairs. When he was in her room she was gone. The only thing left of the princess was the flower.

A Spooky Tree
One night in October a tree appeared out of nowhere. Five girls were near the tree. One girl ran away. The other girls screamed and ran where she went. The tree mysteriously disappeared.
Then they went back to the tree that night. The tree came back up. It became a normal tree again. The girls didn’t run away. The girls hid behind a store. Then they came out from behind the store. The tree ran after all of the girls. It caught one of them and killed her!

It was a dark night on Friday the 13th. Twin sisters, who were born on Friday the thirteenth, were in a haunted house.
The girls were running down a hallway. Suddenly ghosts popped out in front of them! The girls screamed a piercing yell. The ghosts started chasing them. They ran in a hole. They tried to climb up the sides of the hole. They saw bones everywhere in the hole. The ghosts laughed. It was an evil laugh. Then the ghosts flew away.
The ghosts came back with shovels. They started shoveling dirt into the hole. “See you in ten years…or not!” Then the girls screamed.
The next morning they found themselves in bed in the haunted house all covered with blood. The ghosts came into that room. They said, “Good morning girls,” in a bad tone. They threw their breakfast to them. But it was an empty cup and plate. The ghosts went out of the room, closing and locking the door.
There was a window in the room. The girls thought they could jump out of the window. There was a tree right by the window. The window was glued shut! The ghosts were right outside the door. They said, “Ha, ha. You can’t get out.”
The girls found a hammer. They all started pounding on the window. It broke! They climbed out of the window. They hadn’t eaten in ten days.
Then they never saw that haunted house again, and they never saw the ghosts again.
