Once upon a time there were three girls - Tammy, Tori, and Paige. One afternoon before Halloween, the girls were at Tammy's house getting their costumes on and getting ready to trick or treat. "I love your costume," cried Paige to Tammy. "Thanks, Paige." Tammy was dressing up as a rock star and Paige was dressing up as a raccoon, and Tori was a ghost. "Paige, Tori, Tammy! Time to go. Your moms and dads are here." hollered Tammy's mom. "Okay," cried Tammy. "We're coming. Let's go." said Tammy. As they were running downstairs, Paige said to Tori "I like your costume." "Thank you," said Tori as they got downstairs and greeted their moms and dads and Tori's brother Luke. "Let's go," cried Luke, so everyone started to go trick or treating.
"Can we please go trick or treating by ourselves," asked Paige. "Sure," said her mom "but meet us back here by 6:00, okay?" "Okay," said Paige, and they ran off. After they got a lot of candy, they decided to start walking back. They saw a house with a lot of decorations. They decided to go trick or treating there even though it was scary. When they went up to the house, the door creaked open and WHOOSH, about 100 bats came flying out and swarmed the girls. But when the bats were gone, a woman was standing there. "Hee hee hee," she said. She had white eyebrows and looked like a witch. "Hi, my name is Old Maggie. Would you like to come in?"
"T-t-t-trick or t-t-t-treat" said Paige. "Oh, yes," said Old Maggie as she went to get candy. The girls looked up. They saw a ghost staring down at them, and they screamed. "What, what?!" Old Maggie screamed, carrying a bowl of candy. "Ghost!," the girls screamed. "Oh, that is just an effect," said Old Maggie. "Pick some candy." "Thanks," said the girls as they ran off. "Bye," said Old Maggie.
"That was scary," said Tori. "You can say that again. That was scary!," said Tammy. But that was their best Halloween ever!

It is a foggy night, the wind is howling, and the trees are shaking. It’s Halloween. Three best friends are trick or treating, Mike, Joseph, and Tommy. They mysteriously pass by an abandoned house that no one has lived in for 60 years.
"I bet that Tommy wouldn't be able to survive an hour in that house," Mike teases.
"Yeah!" Joseph shouts.
"Sure. I'm not scared. I can totally do this," Tommy replies.
So, Tommy opens the door to the abandoned house. CREAK! CREAK! CREAK! The front door swings open. With a determined look on his face, Tommy walks into the house. Suddenly, the door slams behind him. Disguising his fear, Tommy marches upstairs. He finds an open bedroom and gingerly tiptoes into the room. He opens the closet door and finds a mysterious tomb in the closet. Curious, Tommy lifts the top off and finds a mummy inside it! Tommy runs downstairs and out the door of the abandoned house. Now very scared, Tommy sprints home as quickly as he can and when he finally reaches his house, he shuts the door right behind him. He suddenly runs upstairs to his room and without stopping to take a breath, Tommy slams his bedroom door, almost breaking it to pieces. As quickly as he could, Tommy scrambles to find a hiding place. Maybe I could hide in my closet, he thinks. Tommy, as fast as his legs could possibly go, sprints across to his closet and shuts the door. I’ll be safe here he thinks. Then, Tommy hears footsteps coming toward the door. Yikes! He finishes his quick thought and then returns to the situation. What am I supposed to do now? Tommy thinks and then smiles. He takes his clothes and jumps out the closet door wearing a t-shirt and sweatpants, while holding his socks and underwear for weapons. HA! I’ve got them. Tommy is interrupted in his thought when someone started laughing. Huh? Tommy questions.
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!” Mike and Joseph laugh.

One ordinary day in downtown Hinsdale, there was a sewer that everyone knew never to walk on or around. When the full moon comes out, the sewer begins to rumble and no one has ever lived to tell the rest.
One night, two teenagers were walking under the full moon when they heard a mysterious noise in their ear. When they turned their head a bit, they saw something in the corner of their eyes that made them so scared they were about to cry.
It was the sewer they knew they were never to walk on or around.
When they turned their heads all the way around, they saw red smoke coming out of the sewer and the rumbling getting louder.
The top of the sewer flew right off and a hand appeared. The hand was green and the nails where as black as night. Then 8 other green hands appeared that were just as scary as the first! The boys couldn’t help themselves – they walked a little closer and closer until they saw the whole body! When the body came out of the sewer they could see bugs and rats coming out of its eyes! The teenagers were so scared they turned and ran! The monster came running after them and one of the boys tripped! But, being best friends, the one still running, went back to help the other up and they both got away!
So read this story and remember - every full moon you see … beware of the sewers in downtown Hinsdale…. You have been warned … the sewer monster will see you.

“OH YESSSS YESSS I do yes”.
But the man said, “you do not want it”. and went up to my room and unpacked my stuff. Then
I just sat on the couch because I was so so so tired. But then I heard a voice that was a whisper (NOW I GOT YOU NOW I'M GOING TO EAT YOU) What was that? so then I just sat back down. Then I heard it again and a little louder this time (NOW I GOT YOU NOW I'M GOING TO EAT YOU!!) The Disappearance Day
It was a dark fall night in Oak Brook, around seven-thirty. But it was not the kind of dark with no light but more like twilight. It was Friday, October 31st, the Disappearance Day. But Mr. Jack Holmes, the post office master of Oak Brook, didn’t seem to care. He was out on his nightly walk. Jack didn’t notice the terrified people watching through the windows of town with their hands over their mouths.
Jack strolled along, not seeming to remember that one person was going to disappear tonight. Lurking in the shadows behind him were men dressed in black. The Oak Brook locals called them the “Magic Men”. Legend told that the “Magic Men” would make one person from Oak Brook disappear every October 31st.
Mr. Holmes did not notice those men. He was too busy thinking about his weekend. But as he took his hand cream out, one of the Magic Men quickly grabbed it. “That is weird,” Jack said to himself. “I could have sworn I had some hand cream.” Jack shrugged and kept walking undistracted by the fact that someone was going to disappear soon.
Jack remembered that he forgot something at the post office. As he started to get his post office keys out, someone from behind him grabbed them. “That doesn’t make sense. I know I took my keys when I left work,” Jack said to himself.
As Jack walked back to the post office in the dark, he arrived to find the door slightly open. “I could have sworn I locked the door when I left.” Little did Jack know that the Magic Men were closing in. They had to make someone disappear before the day was out.
What the Magic Men didn’t know was that Jack had a plan of his own. Jack would make himself disappear. But just until midnight! So Jack hid in a big post office box until then. Jack knew that the Magic Men couldn’t see through cardboard. When the clock struck midnight, the Magic Men disappeared and the town of Oak Brook was saved from Disappearance Day.

The Old Man’s House
“Come on please,’’ Tiffany begged her two best friends Mia and Livi. It was Halloween night, 12:00 p.m. and they were in front of an old house.
“Ok” agreed Livi whose curiosity was getting the better of her, but Mia was still too scared. As long as Tiffany and Livi had know their friend, she had always been a bit of a scaredy cat. After a while, Mia agreed, to prove to her friends that she wasn’t as much of scaredy cat as they thought she was.
“Yes’’ yelled Tiffany and they entered the old, dark, house.
They passed dead plants as they entered into the old house. Tiffany was first, then Livi, and last Mia. As they walked into the old house, the door slammed shut behind them A chill ran down Mia’s spine as she took in everything. It smelled awful, like old furniture, dust, and rotting wood...or flesh. The floor squeaked as they walked. Bones could be heard from upstairs, crunching. “Something is in the house guys...Guys?” Just then then Mia heard a blood-curdling shriek. ‘’That sounded like Livi’,’ she said spinning around. “Tiffany, Livi where are you”?
“In here”, she heard Livi say from behind her. She was trapped in the mirror! ”Don’t panic I will find you and you too Tiffany, wait, where is she?’’
“I don’t know just...RUN!” Livi yelled! Mia looked behind her and there was a bunch of baby dolls running toward her. Mia ran, possibly for her life into a bedroom and slammed the door shut!
’’GET OUT! ’’ An old man screamed. ’’Zombies, spiders, ATTACK’’, the man yelled. Instantly spiders and zombies rushed out of the closet. Mia turned and ran out the door, the dolls were waiting for her. Mia turned the other way and rushed down the hall. At the end of the hall she saw Livi and Tiffany’s evil grins, and realized she had been tricked. Thats when it all went black.

Jack, Will, Olivia and Mia went for breakfast. At the restaurant, Jack started reading the newspaper. He called his friends over…...he saw an article about about a haunted house. A kid got kidnapped so they told their mom and dad they were going to Mia’s house. They kept the newspaper and read on. They figured out the boys name. It is ben. They tried to figure out where the haunted house was.
They rode their bikes to every haunted house in town. There were a lot of them because it was Halloween night. They were looking for the scariest in town. Last but not least they found it! They were looking for Ben and the kidnappers. They kept looking and looking and they found a clue there….It was a footprint! Then they saw another footprint. This one looked like a ghost footprint. They kept following the footprints until they got to the end of the footprints. They could hear the wind and feel the wind blowing in their face. They suddenly looked up and they saw the boy… Ben!
A doll and a ghost popped out of nowhere. They ran all around the haunted house. The ghost and the doll were trying to get them. They hid behind a table. Jack felt something gooey. It was old blood! They saw the doll and ghost coming. They found a blanket and put it over their heads. They thought they heard something so they ran they other way. The doll and the ghost saw them. They saw some weapons behind them so they grabbed them and started to have a war. The doll was coming and saying “I am coming for you!” with a knife in her hand. They started fighting. They chopped off her head. Then the ghost came. Will was behind them with his vacuum and he sucked up the ghost. Olivia saved Ben by cutting him out of the rope trap with her knife. They went back to the police department and told them that they killed the kidnappers and they save Ben.

The Lamp Thief
Bella and her parents live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She loves it there and loves mysteries too. She rarely gets one to solve her self . Sometimes she plays detectives with her best friend Lillian. Once Lillian snuck into her house before Bella got home from school and hid something she was bound to notice was gone so they could play. Then at the end of the day told her what she did.
Today Bella found the family heirloom ,a lamp, was missing and asked Lillian if she moved it. When she said no, Bella got worried, Bella and her dog, Lucky, went looking around the house. Then they asked neighbors if they had seen it and they only said the last time they were there it was there too.
Then someone sprang out in front of her on her way home, and the next thing Bella knew she was chained to a dark chair in a dark room. She looked around and she was surrounded by tanks of fish. The fish were all very dark and that didn’t help Bella relax, she was used to bright colors. She soon noticed that they were tropical fish painted dark colors, and that helped her nerves a little bit.
Then someone stomped into the room. It was the kidnapper. Bella was terrified. She wanted to scream but nothing came out. She tried to yell and kick but she was rigid with fear. He said,” My master requires your presence.” And unlocked her, noticing the lamp might be with him she went willing. It seemed like they had walked for hours by they time she fell. She could barely see the itty bitty door at the end of the hall. Suddenly the man stopped, reached out, and grabbed something and pulled the illusion away. There was a man and he was… Mr. Renkens, the lamp collector! The room was filled with lamps. She grabbed her lamp and two others. Noticing a window, smashed it and jumped out. When she landed she was not hurt so, she ran all the way home.
Wind blew across their faces. Creaking filled the forest as they trudged through the leafless trees. They walked through the dimly lit trees, leaves crunching underfoot, the bright glowing moon showing in the inky black sky. It smelled of candy at first, but as they traveled farther into the forest, it changed to rotting wood. A crow cawed in the distance. “I'm having second thoughts about doing this...” said Jim.
Earlier that day, it seemed like a good idea. They all decided to dare each other to go in the forest.
“Why here?” said Izzie as they trudged through the forest.
“This is fun!” said Henry. Nobody answered. As they continued, they heard something, then, a scream.
“What's that?” said Kathy. “Oh. There goes Bella.” They looked back. She was already out of sight.
“Fast runner.” muttered Jim. As they went on, Henry led and Jim took the back. As Henry began to pant, they heard an owl hoot, and a gasp from Jim.
“What is it Jim?” said Izzie. He was out of sight already.
“Hmm... thats weird.” said Izzie in a confused voice.
“Jims gone?” said Kathy. “Let me see...”
She wandered back in his direction. “Kathy come on! Lets go!” Nobody answered.
“Kathy?” said Henry. “She left.” he said. But he wasn`t looking back anymore. He was looking at two red eyes, staring at them.
“What is that?” Said Izzie shakily as she looked at her brother. She look back to the eyes. They were gone.
“Lets go.” said Izzie. Nobody answered. She ran until she was too tired. She heard a unearthly wheezing. Red beating eyes. It came forward...
“Why didn't you wait?” it said. It was Henry, his eye normal color of blue walking towards Izzie, panting hard.
“Come on lets go.” Izzie stammered. when they got back, they found their friends. But one was missing.
“Kathy? Why isn't she with you?” said jim.
“What? She went back!” said Izzie quizzically.
“Then where is she?” said Henry.
She was never seen again.

The Red Man
RING! RING! All the kids at Western T. George Middle School rushed out of school to get home, except one kid. His name was Howard Jackie. He really liked school, but his favorite subject was gym so he just walked home. When Howard got home and his mom said, “we’re missing Violet.” Howard froze in fear. Then Howard said that he’ll go looking for her at the park and if not he will come back home. The next thing you know, Howard’s friend Jacob came to his house to see if he wanted to play some football.
Howard and his friends walked to the football field. Suddenly it got all foggy. They still played on after they shook hands and said good game to each other. Howard saw something that caught his eye,and it was the house across the street. He never remember seeing this house before. So when the game was over, he went over there with all his friends.
All his friends were too scared to go in, everyone except Howard. So he went inside for only 1 minute, but when he came to the front door it was locked. At first he thought it was his friends, but then he heard screams and he thought for a second. Suddenly he knew it was Violet. There was an awkward moment of silence then he heard clapping clap...clap...clap… he remembered he had heard rumors about this house and his friends mentioned the clapping hour. He thought he was in the clapping hour, but then he saw little Violet running down the rusty stairs with her ripped little bloody doll.
It looked like she had a huge cut on her arm. We have to get you home. he tried to find something to break a window. Then the clapping started again this time. He had to see what did this to Violet’s arm. First they went upstairs and then Violet ran back down the stairs. He asked what was wrong. “the red man,” she said in fear. Then Howard saw the red man. He froze for a second then he ran. He ran down the stairs and jumped out the window.

The night before Halloween night Jade, Chloe, Shannon,Taylor, Mackenzie and I went to Panera Bread. We thought it was a nice place to relax. We all ordered mac’n cheese. It was so good. Jade spotted a waitress that looked like a werewolf! We were all scared. I said,” Lets go to my house I am getting freaked out.” I called my mom to pick us up.
She said “I will.” She didn’t come.
Chloe said, “I see my friend . “She can drive.”
We all went to my house. We were going to have a sleepover. When we were talking about the werewolf Jade spotted a ghost. He said, “come out here” . We all said “NO!” the lights flickered. I screamed ,”MOM and DAD!” no one answered. We went outside. We saw nothing. We wandered off there again we saw both the ghost and the werewolf. They were talking about trying to kill us. Taylor and Mackenzie said,” Come on let’s go hide.” Shannon didn’t run too fast. She got killed by the werewolf. We were all crying. Taylor and I were so sad. When we were safe we had a hour sleep. When we woke up Mackenzie was gone!!!! We found her in the corner dead gushing blood out of her mouth and arm from the werewolf.
After, we went to Jade’s house. We thought it was safe to be there. We found her mom and dad alive. We had hot chocolate. We heard a noise. It was like oooo then again it got louder oooooooooooooooooo. We were all scared. “Lets go,” said Chole.”Come on it's coming in! come on.” Jade took a knife and killed the werewolf how are we going to kill the ghost?” We can’t” said Taylor. It's evil spirits. I know we will try. Jade said go get a fire now we were like okay. The ghost came. Somehow the fire worked. We were all happy it was a weird and freaky night before Halloween!!!

It was a dark night, It was time for Joey to go to bed. Joey is very shy but he does not mind that much he still had friends and it did not change him at all. Joeys aunt was over and she was sleeping in his bed so he had to sleep in the attic his mom said. Joey did not like that though he thought that the attic was too scary. In the attic
He did not want to disobey his mother so he did what she said. He went to the attic and put on his pjs. He tucked himself under the covers and shut of the light. He lay there wide awake for 2 hours. He told himself not to be scared it was just the attic but just before he could finish.
He heard noises coming from the hall. He thought it was just him but then he heard it again. He saw a shadow on the wall and heard more noises. He felt a scratch on his leg. He looked down at his legs and saw blood oozing and dripping on his sheets.
He got up to fix his leg and to put a band aid on it, but when he got to the sink it was over flowing with blood. His heart was pounding so hard that he thought that it will pop right out of his chest. When he turned around he saw a dolls head on the ground covered with blood. One of the dolls eyes was popped out. When he went closer to the dolls head it wasn't a dolls head at all it was real. Joey screamed he ran to the bathroom door but before he could get to it it closed and locked. Joey felt something sharp jab into his shoulder but before he could look he fall flat on the ground everything went black... all Joey could see was nothing his heart wasn't pounding, And he wasn't breathing or anything. He was dead with nothing but a knife in his shoulder.

The Night You Will Never Forget
It was a black, damp, dull, spring day, and of course Mrs. Concore was doing the laundry and with no doubt in her mind, she was the most boring mom EVER!
She was going down the stairs and she heard a noise that sounded like moaning. That noise wasn’t the wind, it was the ghost that had been haunting her since she was a little girl. She didn’t know what to do if it was that ghoulish, gruesome ghost.
All of a sudden, right next to her, she heard a voice, “ You know I’m here, lets just get this over with.” BOOM! All of a sudden she started to float…
Soon after that, she was up in her room. There was blood all over the bed, and there was a huge hole on her leg because the ghost bit her. When Mr.Concore got home he didn’t know where Mrs.Concore was. He screamed for her, and right behind him was Mrs.Concore. He tried to creep closer, but every time he did she snapped at him. It was like she was an animal.
The kids, Emily, Jonathan, and Henry, finally got home. They couldn’t find their mom, but right behind them was there mom.
She snapped at them too, so they decided to stay away. The next morning, no one had any idea where Henry was. He couldn’t have climbed out of his crib. That night, they heard crying. Emily sprinted upstairs to see what was happening, and she saw her mom chugging down henrys blood until he was flat like a pancake. Emily raced to get her dad. Their dad knew that ghost, and he knew what to do for her. He quickly ran to the store. One thing Emily noticed was by the second her mom was getting bigger…
Finally, Mr. Concore got home with loads of smoke bombs just incase any other ghosts got in the house. At midnight he lit off all the smoke bombs in the house. The ghost was gone, but who knows what happened to Henry.

The Worst Birthday Present Ever
Today I got my first job at Walmart! I was so excited. It was my birthday present for my 17th birthday. I needed a job and my parents got me one. Today I was going to Walmart. As I was going there I wondered about my job in the car drive there then we were there. I ran in and I saw something that looked disgusting. I was looking at someone who was more than 100 years old. He had wrinkled skin. I was going to tell my parents that I’m not working here. I turned to tell them that but they were gone. They were just there! I couldn’t understand what happened. I had to work there. So I toured around the building. Then something weird happened. A weird sound came from aisle 12 and 14. Wait! There WAS NO AISLE 13!!! My manager didn’t notice there was no aisle 13. It was creepy. It had been a while in my job and I hadn’t seen a child come. I thought that maybe they knew it was haunted. One day I was in office when there was a knock on my door It was the manager. He told me to go to aisle 13. I couldn’t say there was anything creepier than this. The manager told me to go pick up the old lady at aisle 13. Then I spoke up. “But sir, there is no aisle 13. But he ignored me. I went. I walked through and it felt weird. Then there it was. The haunted aisle 13. I saw a lady. “How do you do”. The old lady said. Then she turned into very wrinkly witch. The witch had too much power. The witch then did something magical. She made all products that need electricity alive . So for me it was an end. I tried to flee but then I was trapped. It was either a death or get trapped and eventually death. I didn’t know what to do. I was trapped! It was the worst birthday ever!

In fact they stayed too late… “ Danny it’s getting dark out!” his mother said. “Yes, indeed it is.” Bobby’s mother whispered. “What that horrible noise?” Mimi murmured quietly. “I don’t know.” Daisy yelled. Then from the shadow came a growl, the two mothers ran to hide in the girls washroom. Out from the shadows came yet another roar. “ AAAAH!” screamed all the children as they dove into the pool. the kids could hear this horrifying monsters footsteps. BOOM! BOOM! The sound got closer and closer then suddenly it went completely silent. Nobody could see this creepy monster above them. Daisy could see her brothers and her sisters knees shaking about. ITS GONNA GET ME!!” Bobby screamed. Bobby screamed and with all his might but, when the monster didn’t go find Bobby to throw him, his mother ran out of the washroom and yelled “Put down my little boy!” and gave the wierdest lecture on why the monster should get off his backside and leave, Just then the mystical monster gave the loudest growl and dove for Bobby’s mother! The monster picked up Bobby’s mother all the way to the parking lot! then, the monster sneaked up to Danny’s, Mimi’s and Daisy’s mom and threw her too! The two mothers ran away leaving their kids behind them. The kids didn’t know what to do and went beserk. The monster lunged for them...

I’m John Stort I live in an old castle though I wish I did not. My family and two other families lived in the castle with me and I was well liked by them. The only person who did not like me was Doctor Green because Doctor Green had a secret and I knew it. One night I was walking around the castle when I heard a weird noise come from the dungeons where Doctor Green worked. I walked bravely down to the dungeons. The door was ajar so I peered in… the sight I saw was terrifying.
There was Doctor Green standing in front of a giant crow! “HaHahahaha!” Doctor Green’s insane laughter echoed through the castle. Then he looked towards me! I ran and ran and ran until I got to my room. It took me the whole night to get rid of the fright. I’m still not over it. It only happened two nights ago. I’ve not seen Doctor Green since then.
Now it is midnight and I’m lying on my bed. There is not even a chance that I will get any sleep tonight. All night long I've been hearing a strange noise ”Rrrrrrr!”There it is again!”Rrrrrrrrrrrr!” that time it sounded like it was close by! I opened my eyes and found that I was staring into two twin blood red eyes. I felt an icy claw of fear grip me. The twin pools of evilness danced in front of me then they flickered and went out!” Thonk!” I fainted.
By the time I woke up it was morning! “I know Doctor Green was responsible for what happened last night! I have to find him!” I ran and ran until I got to the dungeons. The dungeons were pitch black! “Ah!” The lights flicked on. In front of me was Doctor Green and and a giant crow! I gulped, it was over. It felt as if the wall had hands I was paralyzed with fright! “bye bye.” Whispered Doctor Green.”NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

The Traumatizing Store
“Bye mom, ”Alyssa and Jake said as they were going to outside to walk their dog. It was sunset outside. They walked down the usual path they took, but this time was different. They saw a different path. Alyssa was already going up when Jake saw it. They came upon an old, rusty, falling apart, dark store. Some of the letters were falling off of it.
Jake said, “This is a bad idea we shouldn't go inside,” but little did Jake know Alyssa was already inside…
Jake headed on inside Alyssa was standing at the door waiting for him. “What took you so long ?” Alyssa questioned. “Come on lets go explore.” They were looking around when the lights turned on.” “Jake thanks for turning on the lights”, Alyssa said.
“Alyssa I’m right next to you, Who turned on the lights?” Jake exclaimed. “I thought this place was abandoned”, Jake said frightened. Then, things start falling off the shelves. They made a run for the door but things covered the door so they couldn’t get out. “I don’t like this. It smells like old cheese,” Alyssa says. Then, they hear screeches. An old lady popped out of nowhere and grabbed Alyssa. The lady was taking her higher… and higher… and higher. Jake climbed up on the shelves, and jumped trying to grab Alyssa’s foot to pull her down. But, Jake missed and fell into a pile of foam. He climbed up again and screamed “LEAVE MY SISTER ALONE.” Right then and there the old lady dropped her. Jake never noticed the purple glow on her nails. They weren’t just painted purple and sparkling they were glowing. He jumped off the shelves. He hugged Alyssa and was so happy she was alive. Alyssa said, “That was really fun you should try it.” But, then he noticed the glow on her nails it was purple too. He took a step back and Alyssa zoomed up. The witch and Alyssa corner the shelves towards Jake and he was trapped…

Just Lookin’ for Candy
Snap! The sound had risen into the air when Sam stepped on a twig. Sam and his sister, Jenna, were trick or treating with their friends, Myra and Kevin. They were 10 years old, but they were allowed to trick or treat alone. At 7:00, their bags were full. They wanted to go home, dump out their bags, and come back.
As they started to walk home, they passed a grocery store and then Sam realised he had forgotten to get the bag of candy their mom had asked them to get to hand out. Sam and Jenna asked their friends to wait for a couple minutes.
As Jenna and Sam strolled into the store, they knew that something wasn’t right. Shelves were knocked on their sides, and the place reeked of molding bread.
“Let’s get out of here,” said Jenna, her voice cracking. But, as they turned around, the door made a “click” noise, and the lights shut off…
“AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” they screamed in unison. They saw limping creatures eager to get to them. “It will all be okay, Jenna. I will stand guard for you while you get a knife from over there. You can try to pry the door open. I’ll battle the zombies,” explained Sam.
“Okay, I’ll do that,” Jenna said. She was normally very shy, but now it was no time for that. Sam was very brave and very athletic. That’s why he wanted to be the one who was going to stand guard.
When she finally picked two sharp knives, she handed one to her brother for protection against the zombies. “Wow! Even Sam is scared about being here,” Jenna thought. She thought that he wasn’t afraid of anything!
Jenna tried and tried to pry the door open and it never worked.
“I give up, Sam. Can I just help you fight?” asked Jenna.
“Sure,” said Sam.
They fought all the zombies but five. They tried and tried but they were just too tired. Those last five zombies cornered them and they knew this was the end of their life…
