LA GRANGE – In the coming weeks, we will be getting to know some of the outstanding students in District 105. Each week we will ask these featured students a few questions about their favorite activities and goals for after school. This week we meet Henry Lange. Henry is a sixth grader at the Seventh School.
What is your favorite class or favorite subject? Why?
My favorite subject is Science because we get to learn a lot of cool stuff on topics like volcanos and tornados.
What is your favorite book?
Right now my favorite series is The Percy Jackson series. My favorite book is How They Croaked. It’s a nonfiction chapter book and it is about famous people and how they died. So far I have read how King Tut and Christopher Columbus died.
What is your favorite after school activity?
I enjoy playing soccer. I am on a travel team called the Celtics and we practice on Monday and Wednesday after school and the games are the weekends.
What is your favorite sports team?
Probably the Black Hawks because it is the only good Chicago team and I like hockey. Right now the Cubs and Sox are in last place.
What is one thing someone wouldn’t expect to know about you?
I am a really good hockey goalie.
What is the best thing about your school?
I liked how I have been able to be in the orchestra. I play the bass and I practice before school at Gurrie.
What has been your favorite memory about Seventh Avenue school?
My favorite memory about Seventh Avenue was the Walk-a-Thon. The last time we did this I was in the 4th grade. We had a DJ and got to miss school.
