Letter: Responses from representatives

Responses from
representatives
I would like to comment on the type of responsiveness I have received from U.S. Rep. Judy Biggert, state Rep. Patti Bellock, U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk and state Sen. Kirk Dillard when inquiring on legislative issues.
First, the ladies. Biggert and Bellock are responsive and to the point. It’s what I would expect from a representative of the people and those responding to voters and concerned citizens.
However, Kirk and Dillard seem to want to have a one-way conversation. I regularly receive updates from all four of these representatives but no or very limited responses from these two gentlemen. I find this inexcusable and derelict. Let me remind these two gentlemen that voters have the right to ask about any legislation at any time.
I understand Mark Kirk has a major health issue that he is dealing with but the delays were evident before this incident. He also has a taxpayer funded staff to address these type of questions. Kirk Dillard is just MIA. As we enter the election season, I sense voters are getting feed up with this distant and dismissive attitude displayed by some of our elected representatives.
If the gentlemen are unsure how to respond to these types of inquiries, I suggest they talk to the ladies as they seem to have it down. By the way, I am not representing any other party that might be running against any of these individuals.
