DARIEN — Students beat the faculty in Monday night’s annual Students vs. Staff Basketball Game at Hinsdale South High School.

But as Principal Brian Waterman pointed out, everyone was a winner.

The event, held each year as part of Turnabout Spirit Week, doubled as a fundraiser for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. The evening, which included a number of students volunteering to shave their heads for the cause, resulted in $7,000 for childhood cancer research.

This is third year in a row that South’s faculty was defeated by their younger opponents.
