Nazareth senior Gianna Milaro signed a letter of intent Wednesday to play soccer for Purdue.
Milaro has played for the Roadrunners for all three years. During that time they have gone 55-10-4, captured three regional titles, made an Elite Eight appearance and won the first ESCC Championship for any girls team at Nazareth. The midfielder was named all-conference twice and was selected ESCC player of the year in 2012.
“As we look forward to her senior year on the field, we wish her all the best when she joins Purdue University,” Nazareth coach John Nikchevich said in a statement. “As she has given 100 percent to Nazareth Academy, she will give no less to her new team and institution. The Nazareth girls soccer program is very proud and happy for Gianna. I have no doubt that ‘G’ will be successful on and off the field at the college level.”
Milaro maintains a 3.88 grade-point average and belongs to the National Honor Society.
