The anticipated showdown between neighborhood rivals in a Trinity Sectional semifinal will have to wait for another year.

First, No. 2 seed Trinity was upset Wednesday by host Riverside-Brookfield in a Class 4A regional semifinal.

Then on Wednesday, it was No. 3 Fenwick’s turn to fall, dropping to St. Ignatius 59-55 in the St. Ignatius Regional semis. St. Ignatius came back from an 11-point deficit at halftime to stun the Friars.

Katie Gallagher paced the home team with 16, while Tara Brennan contributed 13.
