THE SKINNY

Addison Trail (7-11, 2-2) visited ancient conference rival Hinsdale South (11-5, 3-2) and left with a 62-57 victory. The Blazers trailed 29-22 at halftime of the West Suburban Conference Gold contest, before outscoring the Hornets 40-28 in the second half.

After withstanding the gut-punch of a 13-0 Hinsdale South scoring run, Addison Trail made a 9-0 run of its own to end the second quarter. “That was huge,” Blazers coach Brendan Lyons said. “They had a big [29-13] lead on us and we found a way to get back in it before halftime.”
