Boys basketball: Hinsdale Central tops Lyons 48-45

Hinsdale Central senior Chase Hamilton led the Devils with 13 points including the game-sealing final free throw, according to High School Cube News.

No. 25 Hinsdale Central 48, Lyons 45

THE SKINNY

Hinsdale Central made just enough free throws (7-of-12) in the final two minutes to turn away visiting Lyons Friday night in a West Suburban Silver battle to keep pace with first-place York.  

TURNING POINT

Lyons (10-6, 3-2) led 18-11 when the Devils (12-4, 4-1) went on a 10-2 run in the second quarter. Lyons was limited to two baskets in the next 16 minutes, but stayed in the game when junior guard Harrison Niego (16 points) scored his first basket to end the third quarter with Central leading 30-26.
