Plenty of area teams are doing well so far but a few big games are still to come this season, according to High School Cube News.
➥ Something is going to have to give soon in the Catholic League North, where St. Joseph, Loyola Academy and Fenwick are all 5-0. All three have played competitive schedules and are a combined 37-8 on the year. St. Joseph hosts Fenwick this Friday, which is not only a key Catholic League game but one that will help sort out the seeds in the Westinghouse Class 3A sectional.
➥ Speaking of Fenwick, the shorthanded Friars have held their own all season while playing without top player and Northwestern recruit Scott Lindsey. But coach Rick Malnati’s club, which has already played a competitive schedule, will have its hands full and be tested over the next two weekends with four ranked teams in nine days.
