The father-son bowling combo have an ongoing friendly rivalry, according to High School Cube News.
St. Joseph senior Mike Volthusen Jr. first became interested in bowling because his father is a longtime avid bowler.
“I hate to admit it, but he’s really good,” Volthusen said of Mike Sr.
The father and son often bowl together and have formed a friendly rivalry.
“I beat him once in a while, but no matter how much he beats me, I always remind him of the last time I beat him,” Volthusen Jr. said. “He’d rather chop off his arm than lose to me.”
