The Chicago Bears announced Monday that quarterback Jay Cutler would be out at least four weeks due to injury, according to the Chicago Sun-Times:
Bears quarterback Jay Cutler will be out at least four weeks with a muscle tear in his groin, the team announced on Monday.
The Cutler news came just after the Bears announced that linebacker Lance Briggs would be lost for about four weeks with a left shoulder fracture.
“They’re significant [injuries],” Bears coach Marc Trestman said. “But the positive thing is, they’re not out for the season. They’re not done.”
Cutler left Sunday’s game after being sacked by the Redskins’ Chris Baker in the second quarter. Baker tumbled to the ground, and Cutler rolled over him.
