"If the Fenwick coaches ask senior offensive lineman Anthony Caputo to play like a lion, it might not be too far of a stretch for the senior right tackle.
Caputo played the role of the Lion last spring when Fenwick students performed “The Wiz,” an urbanized retelling of “The Wizard of Oz.”
He is comfortable in both of his positions, on the gridiron and on stage.
“It is two different things,” Caputo said. “When I was preparing for the Lion in ‘The Wiz,’ it was more my acting side. For football, it is more mental, the toughness I have inside me. I have those two different sides, so it is the football side and the musical side and I cannot really distinguish between those two.”
Caputo was able to find similarities between the cowardly Lion’s seeking courage and his current spot on the offensive line."
