THE SKINNY

Hinsdale Central avenged on Friday an earlier loss to Downers North in the semifinals at Wheaton North's Neibch Holiday Classic. Senior forward Maddie Roglich injured her knee four minutes into the game and was taken to a hospital before halftime. Sixth-seeded Hinsdale Central (9-3) will play top-seeded Hersey (13-1) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the championship game.

TURNING POINT

With the game tied at 37 early in the fourth quarter, the Red Devils scored seven consecutive points to take the lead for good. The Trojans (11-2) managed just two baskets the rest of the game and were outscored 18-7 in the fourth quarter. DGN, which defeated Hinsdale 60-42 on Dec. 14 in a West Suburban Silver game in Downers Grove, will meet the Devils again Jan. 31.

THE STAR

Junior guard Gabrielle Rush scored a game-high 19 points, including four 3-pointers for the Devils. Two of her teammates scored in double figures: seniors Jenna Broz (13) and Emily Wasz (12). Rush had 11 points in the first half.
