Hinsdale Central girls basketball is enjoying a long break without a game but they also wouldn't mind getting back on the court because there's a certain rematch they want at an upcoming holiday tournament, according to High School Cube News.

After losing back-to-back games for the first time this season, Hinsdale Central’s girls basketball faces a long break before its next game.

The Devils will have eight days off before opening the Bill Neibch Falcon Classic at Wheaton North at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Sixth-seeded Hinsdale Central plays Elgin, with a matchup against third-seeded Willowbrook or Glenbrook South looming in the second round Dec. 26.

Senior forward Emily Wasz already knows what opponent she is looking forward to playing there. Second-seeded Downers Grove North beat the Devils (6-3, 2-2 West Suburban Silver) 60-42 Saturday, four days after Lyons defeated Hinsdale Central 69-63 despite Gabrielle Rush’s game-high 29 points. A likely scenario for a Hinsdale Central-Downers North rematch would be in the Wheaton North semifinals on Dec. 27.
