For the 16th time, Lyons girls gymnastics is champions of the WSC Silver, according to High School Cube News.

Kelsy Kurfirst didn't settle for second place in the all-around at Saturday's West Suburban Silver meet.

Though Kurfirst entered the postseason with her eyes cast on a bigger prize, the conference championship was one of the few titles the junior did not win last season while leading Lyons to its first state championship.

Kurfirst won the all-around and three other event titles at Hinsdale Central as Lyons repeated its conference championship with 150.15 points to beat runner-up Glenbard West (137.375).
