Several local high school wrestlers are making names for themselves this season, according to High School Cube News.

Look out for...

Juwan Edmond HINSDALE CENTRAL

Allen isn’t the only football standout wrestling for the Devils. Edmond (41-10 last season), a junior running back, was a surprise runner-up at 138 at the state meet. Edmond won the 145 title at Barrington with a 5-2 victory over Eric Barone of Crystal Lake South.

Justin Maslow HINSDALE SOUTH

New coach Steve Holland, who came over from Wheaton North, gets one year to work with Maslow (45-5), a senior who placed fifth at 145 at state last season. Maslow has been able to maintain his weight and placed third at Barrington. Hinsdale South’s last repeat state medalist was Scott Wallace in 2004-05.
